The journey began with a cherished third-generation family recipe, a cornerstone of Southern hospitality. Charlotte and Tim have honored this tradition while thoughtfully evolving it for today's clean-eating consumer. Althea Farms echoes a personal narrative of tradition and transformation. Imagine a grandmother, hailing from Seattle and traversing the energy of New York City, arriving in the heart of Arkansas in 1953 with her husband. Together, they built a remarkable homestead and cattle ranch on Petit Jean Mountain. It was there, amidst the rhythm of ranch life during her husband’s time as governor, that she perfected a special recipe for spicy holiday pecans. This tradition, passed down through generations, became a beloved part of their family's Christmas.

 In the early 1990s, gifting these unique pecans sparked an unexpected realization. The incredible crunch and distinct flavor captivated everyone who tasted them, leading to the resounding encouragement: "You have to sell these!" And so, after raising their five children, the journey has come full circle, bringing the family back to Petit Jean Mountain to share these exceptional snacks.
